    Default Stupid Me

Some years ago I had just bought a 3.1m Zodiac and was keen to try it in the water. (Not quite your high powered rib story here!!!) Touring alond the French coast we found the ideal spot, inflated the boat and fitted engine and off we went up the river. There were plently of sailing boats about and we were enjoying ourselves so much that we didn't notice the sailing boats disappear.
Then the engine began to labour. Yes you may have guessed it the tide had gone out and here we were in water about 2 feet deep hence the poor struggling engine. (thrashing in the sand)
More was to come when we returned to our launching point as the level of water had dropped so much that we were faced with hauling the boat up a 10 foot bank.
    Lesson learned here!!!

Welcome to the club, I'm sure many of us have done something very similar if only they were brave enough to admit it!
Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand!
