Avon displays new Superyacht fenders and RIB tube capability at METS 06

Tube Building - New design and fabric cutting facilities for RIB tube build
Avon has been building inflatable buoyancy tubes since 1959 and RIB tubes for almost 40 years, during which time a wealth of technical expertise and knowledge has been accumulated. Avon is now building buoyancy tubes and collars to other RIB builders’ existing requirements or to new designs from Avon’s in-house team. Tubes can be fitted or supplied ready for self installation. Standard tube sizes go to 8m plus in length and over 0.5m diameter with choices of colour, tube shape and fittings.

New CAD with integrated cutting machine software enables rapid tube development and constant precision giving accurate fitting for all buoyancies.
Existing customers include the RNLI.

Avon Inflatables is showing several inflatable Superyacht fenders, developed for those larger power or sail craft needing a significant fendering requirement. These Hypalon Avon fenders are quickly inflated from their minimum stowed size using a standard bellows or inflator through the Avon C7 low profile valve. The lightweight design means rapid deployment by one person in minutes. Even the larger sizes are easily manageable and are just as quick to deflate and stow.

Avon Superyacht fenders are available in blue or white, available in four standard sizes, with other dimensions and colours possible by special order. The Hypalon fabric is hardwearing, yet flexible and able to take the stress and strain required by use, regardless of climate. Stainless steel D rings are secured by reinforced webbing patches at either end so that the fenders can be held horizontally or vertically to suit a variety of local berthing conditions. A heavy duty commercial specification workboat fender is also on display.
